Process

The Process ABC uses is efficient and innovative. We are not a traditional cleaning or blasting company.

We DO NOT use silica, metal slag, or sand – which can be harsh and bend or distort the surface, and also create excessive cleanup because of left behind media.

We DO NOT use water or baking soda, regardless of the eco-friendly use; these two traditional means for blasting create time intensive cleanups as a result. If used in a pool can affect your delicate balance by introducing foreign chemicals.

We DO use bio-friendly, time, labor and cost efficient, dry media which blasts the competition away!

Because of our ‘Near – Zero’ mess process we can confidently assert that our project times in comparison to traditional blasting companies (ie: soda blasting, sand and water) can be cut in half!

Below is a brief description on this revolutionary cleaning system.

Alternative Blasting Choice is the premier company in Tucson offering Dry Ice Blasting.

Dry Ice is reclaimed carbon dioxide (what we breathe out) in solid form, like traditional blasting methods we use compressed air and a media (dry ice) to effectively clean surfaces. However unlike traditional methods Dry Ice offers a clean, efficient, non-abrasive, non-conductive, and NON messey solution.

The cleaning power for dry ice is created at multiple levels:

1. Dry ice media is accelerated in a jet of compressed air to strike the coating from a surface at velocities reaching the speed of sound, creating Kinetic Effect. The surface coating ins cracked and loosened.

2. The low temperature of the media makes coatings brittle and loose resulting in reduced bonding, ie: a Thermal Effect.

3. When the Ice Pellets hit the surface at such speed the pellets sublimate (pass from solid to vapor) this is called an Explosive Effect, when this transistion occurs there is a 700 fold increase in volume that lifts the brittle coating from the surface.

All that is left to clean up is the orginal coating that can be swept or vacumed up.

Lowering job time, labor hours, and cost Alternative Blasting Choice is your Solution to Surface Restoration.
